Both Ric Flair and Sting are in town for tonight’s edition of WWE RAW, live from Memphis, Tennessee.
Flair is currently backstage at the FedEx Forum, according to PWInsider, and it is unknown whether he will be appearing on television during the broadcast. Obviously, with Flair’s daughter Charlotte getting her first opportunity to wrestle for the WWE Divas Championship, it would make sense to show Flair on television in some capacity. He may possibly just take part in a backstage segment, or it’s possible that he could accompany Charlotte to the ring in the same way that he has done during a few of her NXT matches in the past.
If Nikki Bella is victorious tonight, she will surpass A.J. Lee as the longest reigning WWE Divas Champion in history. According to Dave Meltzer on yesterday’s Wrestling Observer Radio, there is a chance that Charlotte walks away from the bout with the title belt. Meltzer reports that if Bella retains the belt, it will be largely due to John Cena’s influence. At the same time, it’s hard to believe WWE would have Nikki hold the strap this long and not surpass A.J.’s record.
Sting will certainly appear on television as he continues to build toward his match with Seth Rollins this weekend at Night Of Champions. The bout will be the first time in his career that Sting has wrestled for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.
