Republished from WWE

The Undertaker will appear live on tomorrow's edition of Raw for the first time in 2016, WWE.com can confirm. Following Mr. McMahon’s blockbuster declaration that The Phenom will battle Shane McMahon inside Hell in a Cell at WrestleMania to decide if The Boy Wonder will assume control of Monday Night Raw, the WWE Universe has been speculating on what the legendary Superstar will have to say about his role in the McMahon family power struggle. Will The Deadman shed further light on his historic 24th contest at The Showcase of the Immortals?

Major rumors of WWE's plans for the Undertaker

Republished from Sportskeeda

The newest member of the Authority?

The upcoming episode of RAW is set to be a firecracker of a show as Undertaker is scheduled to return and would address his impending Hell in a Cell match against Shane McMahon at WrestleMania 32. The WWE Universe is curious when it comes to Undertaker’s direction heading into the show and the latest update would come as a surprise, even though it's the most likely outcome on the cards.
According to reports from Cagesideseats, Undertaker would turn heel and align himself with Vince McMahon in the upcoming weeks. Shane McMahon is set to go into WrestleMania as the bonafide face whereas Undertaker is expected to work his match as a heel.
Undertaker’s allegiance is the biggest question going into RAW, and if the reports have any weight to it, the Authority could have the Phenom by their side after RAW. A full-blown heel turn is something Taker hasn't experienced in a while, even though he showed shades (low blow) of a heel in his feud with Brock Lensar.
It also should be noted that Shane McMahon would indeed be wrestling at the grandaddy of all pay-per-views, and would not be nominating any WWE star in his place. As of this writing, a heel Undertaker vs a face Shane O’Mac in the confines of the Hell in a Cell is the rumored plan for the show in Dallas.

Is John Cena returning at Wrestlemania?

Written by Me: Amit Shukla

We all know that it was shocking for not just CENATION but even WWE when John Cena was injured & was taken out of action for a long time, however Cena has been constantly teasing his fans with a image/video or tweet & that indicates that he may be returning at Wrestlemania, but would he have any involvement in any match at Mania? Well that's something to be found as time rolls on.

I speculate that he may be returning at Raw post Wrestlemania to hype up some amazing match for their next PPV or if he returns at Wrestlemania he would definetely take out the person that caused that injury.

Let's Wish John Cena a speedy recovery.

Republished from WWE

Roman Reigns underwent surgery earlier today in Tampa, Fla., to repair a shattered nose, sustained at the hands of WWE World Heavyweight Champion Triple H last night on Raw, WWE.com can confirm.
In a brawl after the night’s main event, The Game repeatedly slammed Reigns’ face into the announce desk, then Pedigreed his WrestleMania opponent onto the steel steps.
“Roman underwent nasal reconstruction surgery, which consisted of a deviated septum that was fixed and realigned,” WWE Senior Ringside Physician Dr. Chris Amann told WWE.com. “He also had a turbinate that was also fixed as well as a reduction of a nasal fracture Reigns will continue to undergo observation as he recuperates but a timetable for his return to action has not yet been discussed. This Week In WWE Biz: Undertaker vs. Sting At WrestleMania, Roman Reigns To Win At Fastlane?

Republished from Forbes

The Undertaker’s WWE WrestleMania 32 Opponent
The Undertaker is still without an obvious opponent for WrestleMania 32, and as it turns out, “The Deadman” could be facing a surprise foe at the biggest pay-per-view of the year.

(Photo from YouTube)
(Photo from YouTube)

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter (h/t WrestlingInc), The Undertaker’s likely opponent is not currently a WWE superstar:
WWE officials have finalized the WrestleMania 32 main events and they have decided on who The Undertaker will face but we don’t know who that person is. It was said that Taker’s opponent is not someone on the roster right now.”
The wording of the report is very interesting, suggesting a few different things. One, although the superstar is “not on the roster,” it could be someone who is in NXT rather than a main roster superstar. Two, it could be an inactive superstar who technically is still on the roster but is out of commission at this time. Three, it could be someone who has yet to sign with the WWE or has already secretly signed with the company, such as a returning superstar.
A post at WrestleZone suggests that Sting could be an option while the WON’s Dave Meltzer is leaning toward it being Sting as well, but Sting himself recently hinted thathis wrestling career could be over because of the serious neck injury that he suffered against Seth Rollins at Night of Champions in September 2015. The Undertaker vs. Sting would clearly be a huge attraction for WrestleMania 32 and Sting certainly fits the bill as someone who isn’t currently on the main roster, but it seems unlikely at this point that, given concern over public perception, the WWE would allow a nearly 60-year-old man to risk further injury for one more match.

That would still leave some other intriguing options as possible opponents for The Undertaker. Potential options from NXT would include Samoa Joe or Finn Balor, which would give these fantastic talents the chance to make an immediate impact upon their main roster debuts.
Other options would be Randy Orton, who is currently injured but still a candidate for a early return, and Kurt Angle, who recently parted ways with TNA and would be a phenomenal opponent for The Undertaker, especially if it’s his last match. Orton vs. Taker and Angle vs. Taker would both be among the biggest attractions at WrestleMania 32 and quite possibly the best match on the card as well. Perhaps someone like Goldberg or even Batista (in a Career vs. Career match) could be an option as well.

7 WWE Fastlane 2016 Results Predictions

Republished from Whatculture

Source: wwe.com

WWE Fastlane isn’t exactly the strongest of cards going in, with WWE focusing all of their efforts on promoting the main event. That said, what a main event it is, with Brock Lesnar versus Dean Ambrose versus Roman Reigns. Not only should that deliver strong action and big narrative twists, it is also guaranteed to name the new number one contender to Triple H’s WWE Championship.
The rest of the card has been a so-so promotion, with the company only announcing some of the matches six days before the event. There isn’t even really a definitive co-main event, it is just a collection of bouts, many of which fans could usually see on a Raw or Smackdown.
Indeed, Kevin Owens versus Dolph Ziggler, and Chris Jericho versus AJ Styles, have been done several times on television this month. However, in the context of a special, it could prove to be something a lot more substantial. Jericho and Styles in particular, their Fastlane match could be the best match of the year so far.
Beyond that, Charlotte defends her Divas Title against Brie Bella, and the card is rounded off with Becky Lynch and Sasha Banks versus Naomi and Tamina.
Ryback, Big Show and Kane versus Braun Strowman, Erick Rowan and Luke Harper is the bathroom break match, while Alberto Del Rio versus Kalisto makes for a stronger than usual pre-show bout. Here’s the results you can count on.

We’re on the fast lane to, well, WWE Fastlane, and Dean Ambrose appears to have taken his life into his own hands by baiting Brock Lesnar down the stretch. But is The Lunatic Fringe’s strategy really as spacy as it sounds? And, with Daniel Bryan gone and Nikki Bella recovering from neck surgery, can Brie Bella do her husband and sister proud as she prepares to face Charlotte for the Divas Title? WWE.com has some ideas.

The Rock & Ronda Rousey To Factor Into WrestleMania 32 Main Event?

Republished from Whatculture

Ideas being discussed for both superstars’ roles in Triple H-Roman Reigns showdown.

The Rock has already promised that he’ll be a part of WrestleMania 32. Now that the event is drawing near, WWE’s creative team is starting to work on ideas for “The Great One” – and they may involve Ronda Rousey.
With a Triple H-Roman Reigns main event set in stone and the top of the card decimated by injury, WWE has to pull out all of the stops to make WrestleMania seem like a huge event. With that in mind, PWInsider is reporting that The Rock (and Rousey, if she’s available) may appear in Reigns’s corner at the show, with Vince McMahon and/or Stephanie McMahon seconding WWE World Heavyweight Champion Triple H.
Last year at WrestleMania 31, The Rock and Rousey had a showdown with “The Game” and “The Billion Dollar Princess” that left the Hollywood star and then-UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion standing tall. At the time, it was reported that WWE was interested in booking either a mixed tag match or two singles matches involving the four at WrestleMania 32, but both Rock and Rousey are contractually unable to compete.
PWInsider is also reporting that the main event may feature a special guest referee, which could also be how The Rock fits into the show.

Titus O'Neil Suspension Sends Strange Message To WWE Talent

Republished from Forbes

Credit: WWE.com
As Raw went off the air Monday night, with WWE stars and divas assembled atop the ramp to honor Daniel Bryan, wrestler Titus O’Neil grabbed Vince McMahon as he exited the stage. McMahon spun around, briefly scuffling with O’Neil in what appeared to be a playful, albeit awkward, exchange.
In a surprising turn of events, O’Neil has reportedly been suspended for his actions. The length of the suspension is currently unknown, but rumors are circulating that the punishment could be as severe as 90 days, which would cause O’Neil to miss what is being hailed as the biggest WrestleMania in history.

O’Neil’s absence from the card would hardly effect the event in a major way. As a talent routinely used in the lower-midcard, his salary falls in the $125,000 range, though it’s likely higher due to the seniority of the six-year veteran. But with the WWE Network era has comereduced pay-per-view bonuses, so for O’Neil being left off the card would add financial insult to injury.
A 90-day suspension for O’Neil would be especially stinging. WWE is justified in setting an example that it’s not okay to roughhouse with the boss, unscripted on national television. But the suspension of a high-character performer that might rival (or exceed) that of a more serious wellness violation is absurd.

WWE adopted a three-strike policy under its Talent Wellness program, which results in a 30-day suspension for first-time offenders and a 60-day suspension on the second violation. A third violation results in termination.

WWE revived its drug-testing policy in 2005 following the untimely death of Eddie Guerrero. Given the serious nature of wellness issues, which have been the source of several dozen premature wrestler deaths, it’s unfathomable how a repeat offender of WWE’s Wellness Policy could receive a lesser punishment than a first-time offender of an unwritten rule.

O’Neil’s real-life charitable efforts and exemplary fatherhood have become a key part of his onscreen character. O’Neil has treated homeless people to meals and organized charity fashion shows. Last year, the former Florida Gator College Football star was named the MEGA Dads Celebrity Dad of the Year.
It’s worth wondering if his good citizenship kept WWE officials from exacting an even harsher punishment for what apparently is being viewed as a serious offense, if the reports are true.
If WWE suspends O’Neil past WrestleMania, it would be a bad message for an otherwise good guy, and one that takes precedence over much more serious issues.

Roman Reigns And Dean Ambrose Should Go Their Separate Ways At WWE Fastlane

Republished from Forbes

NEW YORK, NY – AUGUST 23: Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns celebrate their victory at the WWE SummerSlam 2015 at Barclays Center of Brooklyn on August 23, 2015 in New York City. (Photo by JP Yim/Getty Images)
This isn’t an issue of Ambrose and Reigns not working well together on-screen. Anyone who has watched The Shield can tell you that isn’t the case. In fact, even the recent dialogue between the two has actually been pretty entertaining, showing that the chemistry they had during their Shield days is certainly still there.
Rather, this is a case of the WWE approaching a point where keeping Reigns and Ambrose as a loosely associated duo is doing more harm than good for both parties.
Let’s start with Reigns, a man whom the WWE has been desperately trying to ensure rises to the top of the company as its newest babyface star. Despite plenty of hiccups in the road, it’s worked to an extent, too. According to F4WOnline.com (subscribers only), Reigns is the No. 2 merchandise mover in all of WWE, an obvious result of having the WWE “machine” firmly behind him by pushing him, his merchandise and his storylines as far down our throats as it possibly could.
It’s painfully clear that the WWE views Reigns, not Ambrose, as its “next big thing” and its long-term star, a fact that is evidenced by his storyline domination of the Royal Rumble (for three years straight now), his recent WWE World title wins, his spot in the main event of WrestleMania 31 and his likely spot in the WrestleMania 32 main event against Triple H this year.
But here’s where things start to get tricky because even though WWE wants Reigns to be “the guy,” as long as Ambrose is always there right next to him, that just isn’t going to happen.

After all, as much as Reigns is a product of the WWE machine, Ambrose is the polar opposite. Reigns was born with a clear path into the business. Ambrose worked the independent scene for seven years before being signed by the WWE. Reigns looks exactly like you would expect a top star to look. Ambrose looks like the crazy guy who loiters on the street corner. Reigns wins his matches with brute force, power and strength. Ambrose wins his matches by putting his body on the line without any concern for his own safety.
That’s why Ambrose, despite obviously playing second fiddle to Reigns, has grown to be more accepted by the masses. Just like many fans wanted to see Daniel Bryan, not Batista, win the WWE title at WrestleMania 30, they’d rather see Ambrose, not Reigns, rise to the pinnacle of the WWE because they can relate to Ambrose in a way that they can’t relate to Reigns.

WWE Fastlane 2016 Triple Threat Match Is Worst Option Available for Roman Reigns

Republished from Bleacher Report

(Credit: WWE.com)

When Stephanie McMahon closed the January 25 episode of Raw by announcing a Triple Threat No. 1 Contender match forWWE Fastlane, she carried out the worst possible booking option available for Roman Reigns.
The second-generation star has already struggled to connect with audiences the way one would hope a franchise player would. One must look no further than the 2015 Royal Rumble match, the WrestleMania 31 main event against Brock Lesnar and the 2016 Rumble bout to see just how unreceptive fans can be of WWE's leadbabyface.

So why then would Creative think the best course to take would be to put Reigns in a match in which both of his opponents, Lesnar and best friend Dean Ambrose, are significantly more popular than him?
The entire purpose of this year's Road to WrestleMania is to finally establish Reigns as the top star in the company. Those in power are banking on him becoming the most recognizable star in the industry, this era's John Cena, Steve Austin, The Rock or Hulk Hogan.
How WWE figures to accomplish that by exposing his lack of support from the fans in that match is a question the powers that be probably have not considered to this point.
Yes, a victory over those two Superstars would lend credibility to Reigns, but after two WWE World Heavyweight Championship reigns in the past two months, no one really doubts the son of Sika is a legitimate main event star.
They just do not particularly like him, and forcing him into a match where he is sure to generate more boos than his two opponents is not going to help matters. WWE Hall of Famer and legendary commentator Jim Ross echoed that sentiment on Twitter.

Both Ambrose and Lesnar are infinitely more entertaining characters. The former is the Lunatic Fringe, an unpredictable and frenetic wrestler who will risk his own safety for the sake of hurting his opponent, while the latter is a brute ass-kicker the likes of which simply do not exist anywhere else in today's WWE. Those characters have a connection with the audience that Reigns does not.
As hard as he has worked to develop his in-ring game, he has been failed by writers who have not worked nearly as hard to develop his character and give fans someone they can invest themselves in emotionally. There is no reason to care about Reigns as it stands right now.
The company nearly accomplished its goal, as witnessed at TLC when Reigns laid out The League of Nations and Triple H, turning boos into chants of "Thank you, Roman." The following night on Raw, Reigns captured the WWE World Heavyweight Championship in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, turning the intense hatred that greeted him in that same arena 11 months earlier into cheers.

Unfortunately, a failure on the part of WWE Creative to maintain that momentum has Reigns right back where he started, a potential megastar seeking the acceptance of an audience hesitant to buy into another generic, white-bread babyface.
Which brings us back to WWE Fastlane and Reigns' date with Lesnarand Ambrose.
The lack of character development, a frustrated and indignant audience and two much more compelling personas sharing the same ring has Reigns facing certain backlash that could have been avoided with smarter decision-making on the part of those in power.
For the second consecutive month, Reigns will take to the squared circle on the WWE Network, fans booing his signature Superman Punch, the jeers intensifying as he launches himself across the squared circle with the spear, most likely on Ambrose.
And management will undoubtedly wonder why, unaware of the numerous missteps it has taken in crafting a star out of Reigns.
The Fastlane Triple Threat should not exist. It is a bout from which nothing good can come. Reigns will once again be rejected, sabotaged by the same management tasked with protecting him and doing everything they can to get him over as a top-flight babyface.
Ambrose will be the fan favorite, the audience will chant "Suplex City" as Lesnar tosses opponents around the squared circle and Reigns' path to WrestleMania will be riddled with even more bumps and potholes than before.
