Thanks to @ProFightsInfo for sending us these results from last night's WWE SmackDown live event in Portland, OR:
Dolph Ziggler defeated Intercontinental Champion The Miz (w/ Maryse) after a superkick. During the match, Maryse was ejected after the referee caught her slapping Ziggler.
* American Alpha & The Hype Bros. defeated The Ascension & The Vaudevillains. American Alpha picked up the win for their team with Grand Amplitude.
Apollo Crews defeated Curt Hawkins. Decent match, ended with Crews winning with the spinning power bomb. It didn't seem like a lot of people in the crowd knew either guy.
WWE Tag Team Champions Heath Slater & Rhyno defeated The Usos. Rhyno got the win for his team with the gore.
Intermission
Nikki Bella & Naomi defeated Natalya, Alexa Bliss & Carmella in a Women's Handicap match. Nikki got the win for her team with a TKO on Natalya.
Randy Orton defeated Bray Wyatt. Good match, but you could tell that both guys were taking it easy for No Mercy. Bray's punches, kicks and big moves looked as soft as a pillow. Orton won when Wyatt tried to walk away. Kane came out, walked down the ramp and "scared" Wyatt back into the ring, where he immediately got RKOd. After the match, Orton was looking at Kane with a "confused thanks" look.
Baron Corbin defeated Jack Swagger.
* WWE Champion AJ Styles defeated Dean Ambrose and John Cena in a triple threat match after hitting a low blow on Cena. After the match, Styles got on the mic and taunted Cena only for Ambrose to come from behind him and hit Dirty Deeds to the send the crowd home happy. This was the match of the night.
Biggest reactions:
- John Cena (mixed)
- AJ Styles (mixed)
- The Miz
Least heat:
- Curt Hawkins
- Apollo Crews
- The Ascension

John Cena Explains Why He Doesn’t Dress with WWE Talents, Says He “Doesn’t Care About Dean Ambrose”, Defends Taking the WWE Jet

Republished from Wrestlezone

As seen on WWE Talking Smack last night, John Cena made an appearance and responded to claims made by Dean Ambrose on Smackdown Live last night. You can watch the video of Cena’s appearance below and the following are some highlights:
Cena on taking the company jet when traveling in WWE:
“Every single time I get put on the field everyone knows they’re gonna get something special. That could be against [Daniel Bryan], that could be against Dean, and certainly it’s gonna be at No Mercy when I try to make history. We are on the cusp of something great, at the very least, it’s going to give people something to talk about. For years I have sat idle, while people attempt to tell me how things are. I don’t need to yell…every once in awhile I just have to explain how it really is. Yes, after I get done Talking Smack I’m taking the jet to New York because logistically I don’t have the time to turn around. Because I need to go back to work.”
Cena on why he doesn’t dress backstage with the rest of the WWE talents, and his relationship with Dean Ambrose:
“You are the sum of the five people you surround yourself with and I surround myself with people that just go. The Vince McMahons of the world, people who are the first to show up and the last to leave. No, I don’t stand and dress where Dean Ambrose dresses, but this is where someone has twisted reality. Dean Ambrose said, ‘John Cena and Dean Ambrose don’t like each other.’ No. Dean Ambrose doesn’t like John Cena. John Cena doesn’t care about Dean Ambrose. And if Dean Ambrose wants me to care about him at No Mercy, he’ll either need to step up or step aside.”

Randy Orton kicked off Tuesday night by calling out Bray Wyatt to finally face him. And he got him, well, sorta.
The New Face of Fear answered Orton’s beckoning by appearing on the TitanTron, informing The Viper that if he wanted to get his hands on him he would simply have to follow the “breadcrumbs.” However, to make

Is Live Smackdown good for WWE?

Smackdown is going LIVE!!!

Yes, you read it right. WWE Smackdown is going LIVE from July 19 & it also marks the return of WWE Draft, so expect a lot of performers switching brands & tag teams being broken.

It may come as a surprise for all of us, because normally WWE would pay most attention to RAW than Smackdown, however with the change of plans and two people running one show ruining the brand value, this comes as a great move.

I'm sure that this opens way for old talents to make fresh waves in WWE, also, a fresh thing will happen with the WWE Draft, maybe Cena will go to Smackdown & by god he should.

He has already won so many titles so many times that now he needs to take some rest & give the new talents a chance to prove themselves on the big stage while he can help build the landscape of Smackdown as it goes live & needs some really energetic performers like Cena.

Let's see how things transcend on July 19th.

Did Payback set stage for Summerslam?

Incase you have been wondering what does my blog title mean, look below as I reveal exactly what I mean.

At WWE PAYBACK, It wasn't just the WWE World Title that was on the line, it was the fact that who would Mr. McMahon pick as the new GM of Raw, or as they say in these times, who would run Monday Night Raw & then came a surprise:

Now this surprise got everyone baffled. Why would Vince allow his son, the one he abolished from his will before Wrestlemania be still in control of Monday Night Raw? Why? Why? Why? (Just Like the New Day asks)

Well, it's simple! Vince wants to create a storyline wherein both McMahon become anti as Summerslam kicks in so that the duo can have a one on one fight to decide the new GM of Raw.

I am assuming that Seth Rollins would return around/at Money In The Bank because that is where he got his big start in the WWE. It is also possible that Hunter may return to fight Shane or a member of his choose at Summerslam to determine who controls RAW. I am expecting to see Randy Orton return by then as that would really be a good storyline as time rolls on.

The Viper has been out of action for a long time & it would be a good time to give this rivalry the much needed hype as Summerslam comes closer.

Let's see how this storyline turns out to be.

Is John Cena returning at Wrestlemania?

Written by Me: Amit Shukla

We all know that it was shocking for not just CENATION but even WWE when John Cena was injured & was taken out of action for a long time, however Cena has been constantly teasing his fans with a image/video or tweet & that indicates that he may be returning at Wrestlemania, but would he have any involvement in any match at Mania? Well that's something to be found as time rolls on.

I speculate that he may be returning at Raw post Wrestlemania to hype up some amazing match for their next PPV or if he returns at Wrestlemania he would definetely take out the person that caused that injury.

Let's Wish John Cena a speedy recovery.

John Cena needs to turn heel and face Roman Reigns at Wrestlemania 32

Republished from aroundtheoctagon

heel John Cena

John Cena made his return to the WWE last week after taking some time off to work on a Fox reality show. Since he’s been gone Roman Reigns has become the champ and the face of the company. With the Royal Rumble coming up in a few weeks the internet is buzzing about who is going to win and face Reigns in Dallas at Wrestlemania 32.

Brock Lesnar has become the favorite to win the Rumble and face Reigns in a rematch from last year’s ‘Mania main event. Last year Seth Rollins crashed the party and cashed in his Money in the Bank contract and pinned Reigns to win the belt. A Lesnar vs Reigns rematch is intriguing but it’s hard to sell another match as the main event on the biggest show of the year.

Another option going around Twitter and the internet is John Cena. Cena is the top guy in the WWE and having him win the Rumble isn’t a stretch at all. He’s done it before and Cena vs Reigns is a big match that could headline Wrestlemania 32. The problem is having two babyfaces go at it can divide the audience and it’s something the WWE tends to stay away from. The best option is to finally turn John Cena heel.

Cena has stated in the past that he doesn’t want to turn heel until there is someone who is ready to take over and do the Make a Wish and other charitable appearances he does. It’s no secret that Cena does a lot of appearances and goes out of his way to do things for sick kids. If Reigns is the guy now the WWE needs to put out there and get him doing all the things that Cena takes so much pride in for the fans.

If they are going to turn Cen now is the right time. Fans are split 50/50 when he comes out. The kids and women love him while the men and hardcore fans despise him. With him now taking on some big movie roles in Trainwreck, Sisters and Daddy’s Home it would be easy to put him in a similar Hollywood gimmick that Hulk Hogan embraced when he turned in the late 90s.

Cena could win the Rumble by some underhanded tactics that take out Dean Ambrose. The next night on RAW he can come out and turn heel and become “Hollywood” Cena. That sets up a red hot Cena vs Reigns for the title at Wrestlemania.

When you think about it, it’s the best option that the WWE has. Unless Rock is going to face Reigns. They really need to go with Cena as a heel. But given the WWE’s history they will probably play it safe and we wind up with Reigns vs Lesnar.
