Goldberg and Brock Lesnar to Face off at royal Rumble

(Credit: WWE)
(Credit: WWE)

It was a dream match and it happened at Survivor Series, but it was just as instant as Maggi Noodles.

Well, don't worry, the dream match is going to happen again at Wrestlemania!

Incase, you are still wondering, let me tell you that the icon and the beast are going to face off at royal rumble, thanks to the traditional royal rumble match and it's speculated that the two will come face to face there, wherein, Lesnar will cost Goldberg the win, by tossing it off the top rope and then it would cause a fight between the two powerhouses at the biggest PPV before Wrestlemania.

It's also speculated that Goldberg will be at Raw next day to challenge The Beast for a match at Mania, which will be rejected at the first place, by the best manager in the business, Mr. Paul Heyman, but accepted later on by The Beast.

So what do you think will happen when the two powerhouses will collide? Tell me in the comments.

Goldberg declared for the Royal Rumble Match

Republished from WWE

TORONTO — The good news first, at least if you’re Goldberg: The former World Heavyweight Champion made good on that promise to beat up Brock Lesnar, dispatching The Conqueror in less than 90 seconds at Survivor Series. The bad news second, at least if you’re not Goldberg: It turns out he’s pretty flexible on that that whole “you’re last” thing. Goldberg intended to make good on his word and bid WWE farewell, but as soon as he walked through the curtain at Survivor Series, Raw Commissioner Stephanie McMahon dangled the possibility of one more title run before the iconic Superstar. The quickest path to that goal? A spot in the 2017 Royal Rumble Match. That turned out to be an offer too good to refuse. In other words, he’s in, and 29 other Superstars just became “next.” Here we go …

He says that he was planned to end his career after the victory.

Survivor Series 2016 results: Fantasy warfare just got real

Republished from WWE

TORONTO — In took only 1-minute, 24-seconds for Goldberg to dominate his match against Brock Lesnar, defeating The Beast Incarnate with two Spears and a Jackhammer and positively stunning the WWE Universe.
After a 12-year hiatus from competition, Goldberg proved that he hasn’t lost a single step. With his wife and young son watching him compete live for the first time ever, the proud husband and father avenged his family after weeks of insults from Lesnar and his advocate, Paul Heyman.
The quick carnage began shortly after the opening bell rang when Lesnar backed Goldberg into the corner, only to be forcefully shoved back and then leveled with a Spear. The stunned Beast shook off the pain and rose to his feet, but he was hardly expecting what occurred next; Goldberg nailed him with a second, punishing Spear. This dazed Lesnar enough that his opponent recognized an opportunity and quickly seized it. He hoisted the 286-pound, former four-time WWE World Champion above his head and heaved him to the mat with an astounding Jackhammer, followed by a three-count the WWE Universe wasn’t prepared to yet believe.
With the audience inside Air Canada Centre thunderously chanting his name, Goldberg celebrated his 2-0 record against Lesnar by kissing his wife and bringing his son into the ring to celebrate in a picture-perfect moment.
Although the loss certainly won’t sit well with The Beast Incarnate, prior to the bout, Goldberg alluded to the possibility that this may have been his last match. After such a dominant performance, however, we’re left with only one question: “Who’s next?”

WWE WrestleMania 33 Likely To Feature The Undertaker Vs. John Cena, Other Major Matches

Republished from Forbes

After WrestleMania 32 generated a whopping $170 million for Dallas and the surrounding area, the Orlando Sentinel (h/t WrestleZone)reports “it is believed that Wrestlemania 33 totals could eclipse last year’s record numbers due to more fans staying longer in the area.” In other words, WrestleMania 33 could be the most successful WWE pay-per-view ever, so the event is sure to have a match card worthy of such a distinction.
With Survivor Series taking place this weekend and The Royal Rumble around the corner, WWE has already appeared to lay the foundation for some of WrestleMania 33′s main events. Topping that list is a potential clash of icons pitting Cena against The Undertaker, a match that “Vince McMahon has wanted to do going back a couple years,” according to WrestlingNewsWorld.com, and one that was originally planned for WrestleMania 32 before Cena’s injury.

The WWE usually airs the annual Hall of Fame ceremony the Saturday night before WrestleMania, but in 2017, the company will be doing things a little bit differently. According to the Wrestling News Observer, the Wrestling News Observer reports that the Hall of Fame ceremony will now air on the WWE Network on Friday night, while NXT Takeover will be shown on Saturday night.

The Wrestling News Observer, also says WWE plans to using the same arena for Raw, SmackDown, NXT and the Hall of Fame, and is moving the Hall of Fame ceremony to Friday because of the stage set up.

If WWE held the Hall of Fame on Saturday they would have to set up the arena for a live show on Friday, then switch to a different set up for Saturday, then back to the live set up on Monday.

Lucha Underground's Ivelisse Proving Women's Revolution is Bigger Than WWE

Republished from Forbes

For any wrestling fan who has watched Lucha Underground, the rise of Ivelisse has been the perfect example of how female performers can be just as talented and just as over with the crowd as their male counterparts.
While many people think of WWE when talking about the women’s revolution in wrestling, Ivelisse and the Lucha Underground are truly pushing the limits and forcing people to leave archaic preconceptions behind.

The epic story of how Vince McMahon created WWE and conquered pro wrestling

Republished from Business Insider

Before Vince McMahon and his company WWE ruled the world of professional wrestling, the landscape looked completely different

For decades, professional wrestling in North America operated under a system of informally defined "territories." Each territory represented an individual promotion with its own stable of talent that drew crowds to local arenas and broadcast the product on regional television stations.

In 1982, Vincent Kennedy McMahon purchased his father's company, the World Wrestling Federation. For almost two decades, he endured an epic conquest of the pro wrestling world that led to where he is today: standing tall as the undisputed king of the industry.

This is the story of how his victory was achieved, with insight from WWE Hall of Famers Jim Ross and Pat Patterson.

WWE Survivor Series 2016: Goldberg Defeating Brock Lesnar And 5 Possible Swerves

Republished from Forbes

WWE Survivor Series features plenty of combustible elements, from Randy Orton teaming with Bray Wyatt to Roman Reigns being on the same squad as friend-turned-rival Seth Rollins.

(Credit: WWE)

Thus, Survivor Series is set up to be swerve city, with WWE likely to pull at least a few shocking twists in order to create some buzz and excitement as we head toward The Royal Rumble and WrestleMania season. This is especially true after a disappointing WWE Network subscriber count for the third quarter of 2016, with WWE falling short of its goal of 1.49 million.

While many WWE pay-per-views reek of predictability, Survivor Series should be anything but. In order to attract more viewers to the WWE Network, WWE will look to make the dual-branded Survivor Series a newsworthy show, as teammates turn on teammates, friends battle friends and titles switch hands.

With Goldberg battling Brock Lesnar and Team Raw battling Team SmackDown in a series of traditional 5-on-5 matches, let’s take a look at five possible show-stealing swerves that could happen at Survivor Series.

Why WWE Should Not Bring Hulk Hogan Back

Republished from Rolling Stone

That's right, Hulk Hogan is supposedly, maybe, possibly, hopefully (not) in talks with the WWE to come back if we're to believe what his daughter told TMZ. Hogan was terminated by the same company last year after transcripts from his Peter Thiel-funded defamation case against Gawker Media were made public, in which the former champion says, "I am racist, to a point, fucking niggers," and also, about his daughter that, "I'd rather if she was going to fuck some nigger, I'd rather have her marry an 8-foot-tall nigger worth a hundred million dollars! Like a basketball player!"

Is WWE Buying TNA Wrestling?

According to filings released to the public this week, TNA President and Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan's lawsuit against the company has revealed that TNA wrestling is unable to pay back debts and is apparently in talks to be sold to WWE. Corgan filed an injunction arguing that he should be granted full control of TNA, saying that he made a loan agreement to TNA chairwoman Dixie Carter, who in turn pledged 100 percent of her equity interest in the company.
