Steve Austin Expected To Return To WWE Television In The Near Future

The current word going around is that WWE Hall Of Famer “Stone Cold” Steve Austin is expected to make his return to WWE television in some form in the near future.

WWE has informed their distributors to go into heavy production on Austin merchandise, so the expectations are that he will be returning to television soon.

Another reason many are expecting an Austin return to WWE TV is due to the fact that the company promoted his podcast on RAW, something that they didn’t do for Chris Jericho even when Triple H was a guest on his show.

What's Next for John Cena After Night of Champions?

This blog is re-published from Bleacher Report

(Credit: wwe.com)

After a surprise interference by Seth Rollins, John Cena was unsuccessful in taking Brock Lesnar’s WWE World Heavyweight Championship last night. Now he seems to be at something of a crossroads: Does he keep his eye on the title or go after Rollins?

In an impassioned post-match interview on WWE.com, Cena decried Rollins’ attempted cash-in as the "stupidest decision" that he had ever seen. It’s clear that The Architect has raised the ire of the leader of the Cenation, and it would be unwise to think that he has heard the last of Cena.

The career of Rollins has been somewhat intertwined with Cena's, from his initial appearance on WWE TV as part of a video package to hype Cena’s training regimen for his WrestleMania 28 match against The Rock to the matches between the two that really cemented Rollins’ position as a bankable singles competitor.

From what we’ve seen in the past, the pair have a great deal of chemistry and can put on an excellent match together. A feud with Cena can be a risky proposition for a rising star on the cusp of the main event scene—just ask Bray Wyatt—but it can also reap great rewards.

A match at Hell in a Cell between Rollins and Cena would almost certainly be given sufficient time to blow any of their television bouts out of the water. That’s the sort of bout that could make Rollins—but it’s all too possible that he has other plans.

Last night also saw the return of Dean Ambrose, who immediately set about reigniting his feud with Rollins in a chaotic brawl. That feud is one of the few in recent years that seems worthy of a finale inside The Devil’s Playground.

Having Ambrose and Rollins settle their differences at Hell in a Cell is almost too perfect an ending to their feud to miss out on, so Cena might well have to find other company for the pay-per-view—likely another title match with Lesnar.

f the nine matches Lesnar has taken part in since his return to WWE in 2012, three have been against Cena. If the pair do meet once again at Hell in a Cell, it would almost certainly be for the last time, and it will perhaps be inside The Cell.

It all depends on the reasoning behind Rollins’ role in last night’s main event. It could easily be a way of avoiding another confrontation between Cena and Lesnar to keep both men strong, but it could also just as likely be a way to keep Cena busy until Hell in a Cell.

If Lesnar isn’t to appear on television regularly over the next few weeks, Cena is going to need something to do. A brief feud with Rollins would no doubt make for some excellent television matches, although there is a question of how to keep both looking potent going into Hell in a Cell.

It seems that John Cena has matters to settle with both Brock Lesnar and Seth Rollins. Both will undoubtedly have to face him in due course, but the question remains: Who will he go after first?

Night of champions Results!

This is a re-published article from Bleacher Report

(Credit: wwe.com)

The pre-show for this event was an edition of the Peep Show with the guest star of Chris Jericho.

Absolutely nothing was accomplished in this segment, which came off more like something that would appear as filler on an episode of Raw rather than something worthy of being on a pay-per-view.

If the philosophy behind the kickoff before each event is to do something that the WWE Network subscribers are privy to, wouldn't it make sense to do something that would entice fans to pay for a subscription?

How was this supposed to accomplish that?

Quite literally, this was a promo where Orton said he would beat Jericho, who then retorted that he would beat Orton—nothing more.

Did someone make their debut? Did a stipulation get added to the match for later on? Was there any kind of advancement to the storyline of Orton and Jericho's feud?'

None of those things happened, nor did anyone even attack anyone else!

This was a complete dud and a worthless waste of time that accomplished nothing more than what would have happened if WWE had simply re-run a video package once again in the pre-show—as if WWE programming needed any more recaps.

Highlight: Dean Ambrose Returns

(Credit: wwe.com)

After Roman Reigns was pulled from the card, it was necessary that Dean Ambrose would return to give Seth Rollins someone to interact with.

Thankfully, that indeed came true, leading to one of the better segments of the night despite how simple it would be.

This was just a brawl rather than a match, even though Rollins had issued an open challenge to anyone in the locker room.

Still, watching these two fight around the ring is something that fans have been eating up for months, so it was still just as entertaining as it has been in the past.

Ambrose's return brought some much needed energy back into an event that had started off lukewarm and hadn't yet gained any real heat.

Low Point: Mark Henry vs. Rusev

Tell the truth in the comments below, did you honestly expect that Rusev would lose this match?

If you did, was this really a match that makes you think that much more of Rusev, beating someone like Mark Henry who wasn't going into this with some undefeated streak or anything impressive in quite some time?

If you didn't expect Rusev to lose, then there's even less of a reason to have been entertained by this, as you knew what the outcome was going to be.

The in-ring performance between these two did nothing to make up for that predictable outcome.

WWE has been stuck on cruise control for weeks now and nothing illustrates that point better than the way Rusev has been booked.

There has been nothing different from Rusev's matches or his feuds for far too long and this is yet another example of why nobody should care to see who Rusev defeats at Hell in a Cell.

Highlight: Paige vs. AJ Lee vs. Nikki Bella

Divas matches usually draw the ire of fans as they don't have the best record for performance value.

However, this ended up being one of the better matches of the night with a legitimate surprise of an ending on top of it.

Since Nikki Bella was the driving force behind this match, it would have been an easy choice to assume that she would win the title.

The same ease could be attributed to guessing that Paige would retain, as she had just won her title back relatively recently.

After a well-paced match with some nice spots and a healthy back and forth of competition, it was AJ Lee who left with the championship—and not with a roll-up, either.

Critics of Nikki that expected her to drag this match down will have to eat their words a bit just the same as those who doubted the Divas division in general and weren't willing to give them a shot here.

Highlight: Brock Lesnar vs. John Cena

Even if all of the other matches on the card didn't deliver and had an unimpressive build to them, this main event delivered in many different ways.

John Cena was meant to look like a worthy contender instead of simply getting destroyed again, which brought a different dynamic to the match and avoided making it a repeat.

To his credit, Lesnar didn't come off as a weakling to make up for that, either, and proved that he's got more in his tank than one match every couple of months.

Fair is fair and fans could criticize the ending for seeming too much like an episode of Raw with the cash-in tease and disqualification, but the match itself leading up to that ending was quite enjoyable.

What parts did you enjoy the most out of the show? Which parts made you want to stop watching because of how bad they were?

Michael Moody, Paul Bearer's son, passes away

Re-published from wwe.com

WWE is saddened to learn that Michael Moody, the son of legendary manager Paul Bearer, has passed away. The announcement was made on the Facebook page of Moody's brother Daniel. Earlier this year, both Michael and Daniel accepted Paul Bearer's WWE Hall of Fame induction on behalf of their father.

WWE extends its condolences to the Moody family.

Roman Reigns out of NOC due to Surgery

It feels disheartening to inform all those die heart Roman Reigns fans that Roman Reigns has been removed out of NOC PPV due to an emergency surgery & his match with Seth Rollins has been eventually called off.

WWE.com confirmed the news in a special article about the incident. It was confirmed that the powerhouse had to be admitted for incarcerated hernia. The possible recovery time is around 4 weeks, however the correct time can be confirmed only by local surgeon and WWE physician Dr. Chris Amann following today’s operation.

Wishing the powerhouse a speedy recovery.

Possible Outcomes at Night of Champions

1) Sheamus vs Cesaro : Possibly Sheamus, as Sheamus is more loved & valued than Cesaro & he hasn't been in a really big feud for long. Thus giving him a limelight at this time wouldn't be good.

2) Dolph vs Miz : After handing over the title to the show off after a long time, the WWE wouldn't want to take it back from him, so the ball is in Dolph's court completely. Unless there is a big change in the creative line, we can be rest assured that the show off is winning.

3) Mark vs Rusev: As delusional as it might look, the cards are stacked against Mark at the moment, because the WWE would want to build a good platform for Kurt's return. Once Mark looses, Rusev would like to boast about it, until Kurt stops the Russian guy for good.

4) The Usos vs Dusts : There is no chance of the Dusts to win because the Usos are giving more buzz than the Dusts.

5) Jericho vs Orton:  As noted earlier, Jericho may part ways from WWE post NOC, so probably they would want the VIPER to win, as it would be difficult to shift focus to normal post Y2J's win.

6) Paige vs AJ vs Nikki:  Possibly AJ, coz we may see Brie mode coming into action against Nikki, thus making it a 1 on 1 competition & finally AJ winning the title. It has also been long & WWE would want to see a change. Don't worry if you hear CM Punk chants everytime AJ comes to the ring.

7) Brock vs Cena: This will be a showdown. Possibly Cena will Loose.

DEAN AMBROSE FILMING “LOCKDOWN

Re-published from sescoops

was recently written off of WWE TV after Seth Rollins and Kane sent Ambrose head-first through cinder blocks. Ambrose is taking time off to film the new WWE Studios movie, “Lockdown.”
“Lockdown” follows a police officer who returns to duty after recovering from a gun shot wound to discover incriminating evidence of illegal activities against those closest to him. He quickly finds himself trapped inside his own precinct, hunted and in search of the truth, as the crooked cops stop at nothing to recover the evidence.
This is the second film in WWE’s “Action Six-Pack” deal with Lionsgateate pictures. WWE Studios and Lionsgate previously collaborated on “The Condemned” and “See No Evil,” as well as the upcoming 2014 releases “Leprechaun: Origins,” “See No Evil 2″ and “Vendetta.”
The movie is set to wrap primary filming later this week, so Ambrose should be back on television soon. He could be back as soon as Sunday’s WWE Night of Champions pay-per-view.
