DDP also discussed Sting's performance at WrestleMania last night.

Lesnar signs new deal with WWE, 'closing the door on MMA'

Re-published from FoxSports

Former UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar will not be returning to the UFC after re-signing a new multiyear contract with the WWE on Monday, officially ending his career inside the Octagon.
Lesnar was due to enter free agency next week after his final scheduled appearance for World Wrestling Entertainment, and rumors have swirled for months that he was considering a return to the UFC when his contract was up.
Lesnar appeared on ESPN's "SportsCenter" on Tuesday night, where he broke the news that he has opted to remain with WWE and will not return to the UFC again.
"It was a very hard decision for me. The fighter inside of me wants to compete. I'm an older caveman now, so I make wiser caveman decisions. So I'm here to say that my legacy in the Octagon is over," Lesnar said.
"My legacy this Sunday in WrestleMania will not be my last. It was a hard decision to make. It took me a year to make. At the end of the day, it's all about me wanting to have fun."
Lesnar revealed that he actually has spent the past few months back in MMA training for a potential return to the UFC, but when push came to shove he began to question why exactly he was plotting a comeback to MMA.
Lesnar left the UFC in 2011 after back-to-back losses to Cain Velasquez and Alistair Overeem, and the bad taste of defeat continued to haunt him even during the following years while he was on top of the pro wrestling world as one of the biggest stars of WWE.
"For the last two months I've been training, I've been training to get back in the Octagon. I felt physically great, but something lacked mentally," Lesnar revealed. "That's not good. I talked to [UFC president] Dana [White], I talked to [CEO] Lorenzo [Fertitta], I talked to my wife, I talked to my friends. I had many sleepless nights on what to do. At the end of the day, it weighed heavily in my heart I was born to be an entertainer. I have fun doing it.
"I could go back to the Octagon — what am I going to gain? I was the UFC heavyweight champion of the world. Due to my illness my career got cut short, and that's God's telling you it's time to move on. As years went by it wore on me so much that the fighter inside of me didn't want it to end that way. I didn't want to leave the UFC on a losing streak. That's just the competitive guy inside me."
Before signing his new deal, Lesnar says he went to UFC 184 last month in Los Angeles to get the feeling of what it was like to be at a fight one last time just to see if he was in the right place to potentially compete again or not. In the end, his body was in perfect shape to fight again, but his mind had other ideas.
"You can't force somebody to get into the cage and fight. That's not the business," Lesnar said. "That's where I was. Was my heart and my head really into it? What are the reasons I want to get in there? Because I don’t like the way it ended or really what is it?
"At the end of the day, I'm really happy where I'm at with the WWE.
On Monday night, Lesnar appeared in Los Angeles as part of WWE's "Monday Night Raw" program as a prelude to his match this Sunday night at Levi's Stadium for the main event at WrestleMania. He sat down with WWE owner Vince McMahon, and the two sides were able to come to an agreement on a new multiyear contract to keep Lesnar in the squared circle.
With WWE, Lesnar works a limited schedule with only so many appearances contracted throughout any given calendar year. The schedule allows Lesnar to spend time at home with his wife and kids and not be on the road for the majority of the year like most professional wrestlers.
It was a tough decision according to Lesnar, but he's very satisified with his choice to remain with the WWE.
"The older you get, the wiser you become and I didn't want to be that guy that retired and came back. So there was a lot of different things that went through my mind. This was a long, heartfelt decision. You weigh out the pros, you weigh out the cons," Lesnar said.
"Last night, old Vince McMahon put on the offer on the table that I couldn't refuse. It really comes down to business and money and health and well being, I've been on both sides of the spectrum. I've been in a bad position with my health. I've been in a bad position with my money. Now I'm in a great position with both and I'm happy. I love what I'm doing. I work part-time with full-time pay like everybody wants but you can't have. Just me. So I'm happy."
Lesnar, who turns 38 this year, promises that at this point his best choice was to remain with WWE and put his career in the UFC behind him for good.
"I'm officially closing the door on MMA," Lesnar said. "It was hard. I re-signed last night with the WWE. We came to a conclusion last night. The offer on the table, I just could not refuse."

5 point Raw Preview

Last week's RAW ended up with The Authority making a fool of themselves when The Vigilante Sting came to Viper's aid during Raw's main event. It seems no rocket signs to understand that The Game will be fired up & would like to address that on RAW. So,

1) Hunter Calls Out Sting

We all know that for weeks Heyman has been calling Reigns that he can't beat Lesnar at Mania & Roman has been proving him wrong week after week, let alone last weeks Smackdown's Main Event where he knocked out both Kane & Seth single handedly. As far as Heyman's announcement last week to have Lesnar & Reigns face to face in the ring at the same time, all hell will break loose. Wait until,

2) Lesnar & Reigns confront each other in the ring

Bray Wyatt has been taunting Taker a lot of weeks for a match at Wrestlemania. Ever since Taker accepted the match, it seems that Taker will be playing mind games however it's been the opposite. This been the finale week before Mania you can bet your ass that Taker will have the final say & the final laugh on Wyatt before Mania. However, we will not see Taker in person or his latest image until Mania.

3) Taker digs at Bray Wyatt

Seth & Randy have been locking horns for quite some time now, however the story goes back to Survivor Series week when Seth Curbstopped Randy on Raw & made him be out of action for 4 months. Ever since returning at Fastlane, Randy has been slowly trying to kick Seth's ass and he did so last week & ever since that happened, both J&J security & Seth have not been able to stop the Viper. With this RAW being the thrilling final pitstop before Mania, expect tensions to rise high tonite.

4) Randy feuds with Seth

Cena & Rusev have been locking horns for the US Title since last year before Rumble. Ever since Cena lost at Rumble, everything has been going the other way, instead last week Rusev tried a cheapshot with the table on Cena during contract signing. This week it needs to go even higher with two amazing atheletes or should I say WWE Superstars fighting for the coveted title.

5) Cena calls out Rusev

That's my five point preview for tonite's RAW.

Will J&J be out of Job this week on Raw?

After what transpired on Raw when Seth slapped Noble & Mercury possibly quitted (as it looked then) & after the way their Security plan backfired & we saw the future getting beaten by The Viper.

This may feul up the anger in Seth & we may see a public humiliation of the security this week & they may be put on probation, however, as Seth needs them at Mania, they may still not be fired until they get involved in the Mania match, causing Mr. Money In The Bank loose & next week we may see them being fired.

During their wrestling career both Noble & Mercury have left no impact but I am sure the WWE Universe will remember them for this storyline only.

All the best J&J Security during Monday Night Raw.

Storylines falling apart

Well, after Raw went off Air & Smackdown cane this Thursday, I have been thinking that what has gone wrong with WWE writing team. How can they write such a weak storyline heading into Raw & Smackdown & that too when Wrestlemania is round the corner.

Was it apt that Seth opened up RAW & accepted Wrestlemania's challenge? Really? You couldn't comeup with something exciting. Something that would have stirred things up for entire Raw or made it even more exciting. Like during the end, when Sting enterance happened, Seth could have been trapped in the coiledup viper & until then Seth would have rejected the match, but after the beating in the main event, accepts the match. After this Randy gets beaten by Authority, so does Sting.

Hell, how could you stop this thought people. It would have stirred things up for next week's Raw to a whole new level where Hunter could say that this is what Sting will get at Wrestlemania. Seth could talk about betrayal, beating & Vigilante's interference.

Except the best man on Mic, Paul Heyman's segment, entire Raw seemed to be falling apart just like Seth looked like falling apart until the Raw Main event. It would have been so apt for them to start a Twitter war post Raw. Hell, when B- players like Adam Rose & Zack Ryder could start a Twitter war, why couldn't the top feuds. It would be so apt to see Seth-Orton, Hunter-Sting, Brock/Heyman-Reigns, Bella's-AJ & Paige start a Twitter war.

When you can have a hashtag for trending or conversation during Raw or Smackdown, why not now when Mania is round the corner.

On Smackdown, except the Gauntlet & Main event Match, everything went very drizzy, very slow & pathetic. Noble making it into main storyline? Really? What happened to the amazing Miz-Mizdow segment. why not that on Smackdown? Towards the end, Viper raised the stakes, rest it felt pathetic.

Welcome to Monday Night Raw Live Coverage!!!

Raw opens with last week's main event. The way Orton offered help to Seth, how he helped him gain a win, but that is done to increase the feud between Seth & Randy.

Cole welcomes us to Raw as Vipers music hits & we see entire Authority except Hunter & Steph clapping for Vipers entry. Kane welcomes Randy back to The Authority but when The Giant Show tries to talk, he gets booed by WWE Universe.

He talks about how things have been between them & how he has seen Viper strike his own father incase he was in the path. Noble however seems to differ, so does Joey.

Seth cuts Noble in the middle & mock the Universe for thinking if they would have a feud(hint for main event). In the end, Universe chants RKO, Seth cracks a joke on Show, but they all welcome Randy to The Authority.

Orton hasn't spoken yet & it feels he is coiling & boiling.

He says are you asskissers in The Authority, that you are trying to kiss my ass. He taunts Kane about how he walked from Devil's favorite demon to the guy selling coffee. He taunts Show & so well. He talks real heart with Noble & now comes Seth.

He says do you think I am doing you a favor? Naa, I will kick you bad. Then he says I was having fun. Kane isn't happy, unlike others who changr thoughts in a moment.

It seems like he told the truth & the cards are out. Wish The Authority could understand that.

Back to Announce Table & he talks about Wiz Khalifa. They confirm that both Lesnar & Heyman are in the house & we would hear from the Beast.

'Yes' music hits as we see Daniel making it to the ring.

First Match: Bryan vs Barrett

'Yes' he won. What a great match. Great moves from both Barrett & Bryan. A cheapshot by Barrett after the match. Ambrose comes from the ramp & attacks Barrett.

2nd Match: Ambrose vs Stardust

Commercial

Back from commercial & they show Hunter vs Sting at Wrestlemania on WWE Network.

Match is underway. Won by Ambrose. Brawl because of IC Title. Barrett's title is again stolen by R-Truth. This feud is going good.

Next up is The Warrior award in Honor of The Ultimate Warrior

Connors moment was shared. Wonderful moment.

What a moment as Heyman cuts a wonderful promo. Take a bow mate. No one is near you in this.

Now Bray cuts an amazing promo. 'Find Me'

Match underway between Show-Kane vs Erick & Ryback:

Great match as Erick & Team won

Steph enters & scolds Monster & Giant. Asks them to leave the arena & double think about what they are & what they represent.

Cole talks about #ShareYourVoice campaign.

We now go back to the Niagra commercial. Means we have Miz vs Mizdow segment. A great one as Mizdow is signed by Wiz. Also, he enters Andre Battle Royal at Wrestlemania. Great to see how the storyline moves from here on.

Wiz Khalifa performs on RAW.

NEXT is Divas battle

Frienemies win against Summer Rae & Eva Marie

Sting cuts promo about Wrestlemania match. Nice one.

Rusev & Cena confront each other backstage as Moscow Mauler makes way to the ring. We are in for a treat.

Next Match is Rusev vs Axel

Rusev wins & talks crap about USA. Cena locks STF on him until Lana agrees for a US Title match at Wrestlemania.

Bray Wyatt cuts a great promo again.

Next Match is New Day vs Cesaro Kidd. Actually Tag Team Turmoil.

Los Metadores won.

Backstage Seth says relax Randy was joking.

Next up is Bray Wyatt Live in Ring on Raw.

Taker tone hits & we get chills. He will be at Wrestlemania. Deadman will be there.

It's Main Event Time: Seth & Randy vs Roman Reigns

As expected Randy turned on Seth. Orton vs Seth for Mania.
