Rey Mysterio Rejects WWE Offer, Why Bray Wyatt and Dean Ambrose Didn’t Work Raw

Re-published from wrestling-edge.com

As reported, Rey Mysterio and Vince McMahon met at a last week’s Raw taping, and the creative team were tasked with ideas to bring the masked superstar back to TV imminently. It looks as if those plans will not come to fruition as the Wrestling Observer reports Mysterio has turned down the offer and plans to pursue other ventures when his deal expires in Spring. It’s no secret Mysterio wants to pursue a career in acting and reportedly has no interest in wrestling for AAA, Lucha Underground or WWE.

For those wondering why Dean Ambrose, Bray Wyatt, and others did not appear at Raw from Liverpool, England last night, it is because they were working another live event in Bournemouth. The main event for that show incidentally was Chris Jericho (who is working the European tour) vs. Bray Wyatt, as well as Ambrose vs. Cesaro. Other WWE stars that worked that show included Gold and Stardust, The Usos, and various Divas. The talent not used at Raw will work the SmackDown taping today, while yesterday’s Raw talent will work a separate live event in Brighton.
