On this week's Edition of Raw we saw The Ascension invade the house & try to make a name for themselves by trying to stand against NWO until APA protection came over to save them.
The question that comes to the mind are, that why did JBL & APA get involved in this despite him being a ringside commentator. Well, here's the answer.
Ever since The Ascension made their debut on Raw they haven't been that impressive with their in ring competition & performance & have also not been able to create a buzz within the WWE universe. It comes as no surprise that the tag team from NXT was very impactful there, but on Raw they faded & that is why the creative team wanted them to turn heel so that they could gain some momentum.
In an attempt to take that storyline further, they came to attack NWO, but were interrupted by JBL & I speculate that because of this attack, they may try to attack JBL come Royal Rumble before the 30 man match & either JBL will enter the match to knock them out or do it from ringside which could make us see JBL's short but sweet return to the ring.
